Welcome to the Ask a Pro webinar series:
Short on time or money?
You're an entrepreneur - of course you are short on both!

The Plano & Simple Ask a Pro webinar series was designed with you in mind: We bring you substantive presentations and interviews with experienced professionals who can help you get critical tasks done more quickly.

The Spring 2015 cohort of Mentor Smart mentees told us what they wanted to learn about, so those are the subjects you will find, biweekly, coming to you live!

This time we've got a GET IT DONE webinar for you:
A VC perspective: How to Get funded

One challenge almost all entrepreneurs face is: how to get funding to bridge the gap, whether that gap is from promising prototype to actual product, from interesting molecule to licensable drug candidate, from beta test to exponential growth or some other expensive transition.

If you are new to getting funded, you may not feel comfortable with determining when is the right time to take money - or from whom. You may have fantasies about meeting a VC at a networking event, giving them your elevator pitch and getting a check on the spot.

Time for a reality check!

In this webinar, Graham Brooks, Partner at .406 Ventures, will take you through the essentials of the fundraising process. If you are interested at all in VC funding, this webinar is a great opportunity to get his perspective, and to ask him the questions you've always wanted a VC to answer.

Here's what you will learn:
  • The trade-offs you need to make.
  • 5 steps in raising venture capital.
  • How to identify the right VC for your company.
  • Do's and don'ts for the fundraising process.

Bring your questions!
We are going to cover a lot of material very quickly. If you want to know how a particular point applies to your situation, you'll need to step up and ask the question. We'll do our best to let you ask your question directly so that you can ask follow up points if need be.

You are invited to submit questions before and during the presentation. We will get to as many as we can, and for as long as our guest is willing to talk to us!
